HAC not working 2.8 Prado

Hi
I started the prado on a roll in my drive way to put it inside the garage and the prado started rolling back with different noises coming from the engine and the light for with a slippery track and car came on. I thought Hac was supposed to have applied the brakes for 5 seconds giving you time to accelerate. Does HAC only work on some inclines.

On certain steep inclines it will do as you say.

Mine goes off on the flat sometimes when flicking. Between R and D, but in a steep hill it just rolls backwards with the ABS or Trac going nuts.

Most useless feature I have ever seen in a car. Doesn't work at all.

Mine works 99% of the time fine. It's certain grades that it doesn't like.
I have 2 slopes I travel through every couple weeks. Both stop signs. Bit do it every time. Every other slope it holds and works properly.
