  • BlueTooth Failure

    Hi All,

Been a while between posts, and a prado upgrade later. (2009 GLX to 2014 GLX)

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced any issues with bluetooth connections?

When I first connected my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) via Bluetooth it only partially worked, played some music, read text messages, but the ToyotaLink software would never connect. I gave up until I got a new phone this week, having some time on a Sat today I thought I would have a play and see if the new phone might fare batter only to find the Bluetooth and Phone buttons are greyed out which means I can't get in to even forget or pair a new device.

I have done a bit of googling and found that it's not uncommon in the US, but not found any solutions yet. I have tried everything from disconnecting battery (comes back with a different boot screen) have turned off all bluetooth on any device nearby (read something about a FitBit causing "interference" - longshot, but no joy) Gave the dealer a call who replied with "That's odd, never seen that before".

I am not going to die in a ditch if I can't make it ALL work, but would be nice to be able to take and make calls etc. Right now though I can't even seem to get to first base!

    Any suggestions welcome!

    Cheers
    Rod
