strange plastic on rear door

Hi everyone.

I would like to install a reverse camera on my Prado 150 series and I am not sure what that plastic thing is in between the two license plate lights on the rear door. I found some reverse cameras that will replace one of the lights, but I was wondering if there is something that fits where the plastic is. Does anyone know the purpose of that and if there is a reverse camera that fits there?

On my 2010 VX and now on my recently delivered 2018 VX Limited that space is where the rear camera is mounted. The NZ VX and VX Limited models have the spare wheel mounted underneath, and the back door gets an opening glass hatch. No need for the extra fuel tank here.
