Problem with rear AC in 2012 GLX

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with the AC in the rear of the vehicle. The controls are working and I can hear air blowing into the roof space but next to no air coming out the vents.

Does anyone know if there is any access up there? I've looked and can't even remove the vents to shine a light.

Any help and suggestions welcome

You know you can select the option to change it to top. Down/ top n down.

You're checking the THIRD row vents, no? I've noticed on mine that the "rear" air condition speed/ system only affects the back to vents in the boot (or third row with the seats up). The Front Air con/ Normal one is the one that will affect the first and second rows.

If you want kids in the second row to have a different temperature to you, you need to close their vents and swivel the back ones forward so they can feel the heat/ cold from the rear Air Con setting.

Yes I know about the controls. I can turn the fan up and down and it does make a difference in noise (I can hear air being blown) but next to nothing comes out of the vents.

Hoping I don't have to take it to Toyota

That rear a/c does my nut in the only way I can see to turn it OFF is the put my arm over the back seat and can I find that stupid off switch ??? I allways end up getting out the car and manually press OFF there MUST be a way to do it from the drivers seat but buggered if I can find it.................

Press the button for the rear controls on the dash unit and then press the off button.
