Toyota Prado KDJ150 Rear Tailgate Striker Part Number

Hi, does anybody know the part number for the Prado KDJ150 female companion for the striker plate?
I cant think of any other way to describe the part, it has a floating plastic sleeve that sits in a metal bracket, the culprit for all those squeeks in the tailgates of the kdj150's.

Might have to investigate this- Does replacing it actually stop the rattle/ squeak from the back door? I'd assumed that it was a natural consequence of having so much weight boucing around on that one latch? (if it does I'll be purchasing it straight away, noise drives me spare on our dirt roads around home).

Clean it and apply some grease. Worked for me.

I've read someone removing that part and giving the underside a clean. There may also be an application of tape between this part and the part on the door.

I have 2 prado's, and 1 for work, so drive 3, the ages range from 4 years to 6 months old. 2 travel on dirt roads, The one that does not travel on dirt roads does not have any "groans". With regards to the other 2 one "groans" and the other doesn't.

I took the one that "groans" to a good interstate dealer 3 months ago, they fixed the noise, (didnt say though how), and now the noise has returned.

I have read a lot of info on this, and studied the one that drives me nuts with the squeak, the common theme is that the part gets contaminated with dirt/dust, I think the problem is, that the floating plastic part is prone to getting dirt/dust between it and the metal bracket (on the door), and the two rub and "groan", I cleaned and applied silicone spray to the one giving problems, and so far it is quiet, but given the design, and the location of the part to contamination I expect the noise to return. Does any one know if a better designed part exists?

If you want to fix this permanently, you need to lift the locator on the body (the bit that this fits over). Loosen the two bolts and tap it up a few mm with a hammer. The captive nuts will move.

Lift it just enough so that door lifts ever so slightly as it closes and takes the weight.

The squeak actually comes from the latch above it which wears down to bare metal (in my case anyway) if the door is allowed to move around. Doing above stops it moving. Also, flip the latch over if it's worn.

Noise free for a couple of years now.

Lift the part on the body of the car (not the door), the bracket is held in by self centering bolts, if you tap it, will it increase the likely hood of the captive nuts loosening and moving down over time?
