Odorless, oily substance from air vents.

My Prado 150 series has this issue where very tiny amounts of odorless, clear and oily substance comes from the air vents. It slowly covers up everything, especially the trim piece above the pedals.
Recently I've changed the factory radio with an aftermarket one and I found a lot of the same thing, which probably accumulated there for a long period of time. It affects all the vents and it seems it's AC related.
The AC works great and cools very well.

Has anyone ever experienced or heard of this? What could be the issue?

I'd take her to an aircon shop and get them to check with the sniffer.
No2 son has had 2-evaporators through his 150, seems a common problem.

And the evaporator is behind the dash, in the worse accessible area?

No, it can be done without removing the dash. If they say otherwise go elsewhere. First time in son's car they removed the dash, took FOREVER, (like 2-weeks) and car had to go back numerous times later for issues.
2nd time was done out of warranty by local aircon mechanic. All done in one day, no dash removed.
He said he's lost count of the 150's and Cruisers that come in with corroded Toyota evaporators. He does not re-fit the Toyota item and has had no problems.
Don't know what brand he uses though.
