  • Steering Wheel wear

Hey everyone, just after your input.

I have a two-year-old 150 series Prado it’s done about 55,000 km. I’ve started to notice a bit of wear on the leather steering wheel and just wondering if anyone else is getting the same from their car?
Are there any treatment options etc?

That looks pretty catastrophic, probably going to be a write-off.

I had a similar problem and Toyota wouldn't consider it for warranty so ended up getting it re covered which cost about 350. I remember seeing somewhere on the forum that a few people have bought the genuine replacement leather cover and put it on themselves.

I have that exact thing happening to my steering wheel. Posted about it a while back. Its getting worse (my car has done about 115,000km). I tried kiwi boot polish which looked amazing for a while but ended up being sticky and wearing off. Someone suggested a cheap leather cover from aliexpress, but I'm not confident stitching it on. I'm thinking of trying a permantent texta. Hope someone can help.
