Multimedia system iPhone SMS reply

Hello all,

Just upgraded to an iPhone 7+ (downgraded for some) from Samsung Note series. with the new phone I do not see the option to reply to SMS received as I could earlier with Samsung.

Thoughts idea?

If you want to reply to SMS, open Messages, hold down the message you want to reply to, tap "Reply", type and send. Check your settings to ensure SMS is enabled. iPhones use iMessage, not Android Messages.

I know this answer comes a bit late, but for others who might have the same question. Replying to SMS on an iPhone is pretty easy, and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon enough. You should see a notification on your lock screen when you receive an SMS. You can swipe right on that notification to go directly to the SMS conversation, where you can type out your reply and hit send. Alternatively, you can also access your SMS conversations by opening the Messages app on your home screen. Also, I wanted to share that I recently came across an excellent usa temporary phone number that allows you to receive SMS online. This service can come in handy when you need to sign up for online accounts or verify your identity, but don't want to share your personal phone number and risk getting spammed with unwanted messages.

Thanks, I should clarify it better, the issue is, with the Samsung Galaxy the messages were read by the system voice and you could hear what the message was, now they do not even appear on the multimedia screen with an iPhone! So iPhone messages of any type do not appear on the scree.
