2018 VX Prado & manual DPF switch

Has anyone heard that Prado's manufactured after June 2018 will have a manual DPF switch ????? Does anyone know about this or any other updates ?

Ordered a VX and was told by my dealer it won’t be delivered until August however will have factory dpf switch. This is for all manufactured after June

Surely there would be a retro fit for this?

Hopefully there is a recall to fit them to all DPF vehicles.

I recently asked a dealer to fit a manual burn switch & was told that they will only fit one to vehicles with a history of DPF problems. No amount of arguing would convince them otherwise. Maybe another dealer would have a different attitude?

I still touring Japan at the moment , and can confirm the 18 Prado definitly has a DPF , and a actory manual burn button on the RH side of dash. I saw a 17 model couple of weeks ago which didnt have either.

Im back in Yokohama now , didnt see any car transporters on the road so i would say they are railed to one of the port berths in Nagoya , which are massive.

not that i know of , i've been hunting around various forums but not found any more details except for some owners who have had one fitted as a field fix. I would say there would be some wiring involved or maybe an ECU connector which is reserved for that function??
