After 4.5 years, the multimedia centre in my 2013 150 Prado has suddenly failed, and can’t be repaired or reset, according to Toyota. Apparently this is not an uncommon problem. The unit is made by Fujitsu, and apparently hard to come by, and will no doubt cost &$$$. Anybody have any experience of this?

Ah another chance for me to vent my feelings on my favourite subject, the crap and heavily locked down multimedia. My advice would be that if you do end up having to spend money on a new unit, and I hope that you don't, make sure that you buy an android unit with a bigger screen. This can run whatever mapping software you chose, not Toyota, have current maps and a whole host of other features not allowed on the standard unit.
