  • Windy noise over 1500 rpm

    Hi
I am new to this site,
I have a 2011 Prado, 150 series, GXL , auto, diesel. Recently I have noticed a kind of wind noise (similar to when window is open a bit and windy outside) from the front. It can only hear it under acceleration and over 1500 rpm. It disappears when let go of accelerator or under 1500 rpm. You can't hear it if stationary, gear in "P" position and any rpm
I have recently flush the transmission (correct ATF temperature and level). Gears change smoothly.
I have also changed the timing belt and fuel filter under the bonnet.
    Engine oil has been replaced.
I have looked at different forums and blogs with no luck.
The sound isn't coming from the windows.
    Any help appreciated

Could be a small split in the rubber turbo hose , that was the trouble with mine , made a rushing windy sound under exceleration, an apprentice at a Toyota dealer found it where other dealers failed

Thanks Morning side. I had a look at both rubber hoses and can't locate any split or similar. Just another observation. If drive the car cold, the sound starts to manifest after driving for 8 to KMs.
