  • Toolkit ! what should it have in it?

Just took delivery of my new GXL D4D 150 and interestingly enough I have noticed a few blank spots in the tool kit. Could those who have the GXL inform me of what was standard in there tool kit when they took delivery of their vehicle. I thought I had better ask before posing the question to the dealer/ salesperson.

Great vehicle though......................looking forward to some long trips. Thanks in advance to those who have taken thte time to reply. Cheers !

Could it be where the spark plug tool resides for the V6's... ?

I seem to recall an almost identical thread with the same posts in the 120 section a few years back.

It's for a few tools related to the V6. The delivery bloke explained it to me and I remember reading it in one of the owners manuals somewhere.

I've got a 150 V6 and the answer is "bugger all", a wasted space.

                Hi all,
Regarding the tool kit in the 150 series, does it come with a jack? The second compartment in my 150 series next to the tool kit is empty. I didnot notice it till now and was wondering if a jack is provided at all??

                  Hi All,
Can any 150 series owners please confirm if they have a jack supplied as part of the tool kit?

                  Thanks,

I would have thought your owner's manual would tell you where the jack is kept.
That compartment is not for the jack.
                    Cheers, Wayne

I would have thought a jack would be a compulsory safety component of a new vehicle. No point having a spare wheel if you can't change it.

It's on the left hand side as you look into the cargo area - there is a compartment just inside the door.

Thanks Trevc. I would have "never" looked at that place for a jack. Yep it is there.

This just tells me that i should explore the vehicle first and find the hidden/unnoticed parts even before driving the vehicle ops:

You should have a cyanide pill or a sharp razor blade in the tool kit so that you can put yourself out of your misery after you have been driven to the edge by crappy Toyota Service.
