Reversing camera is not accurate

Some simple tests show my reversing camera (factory fit) puts me about 0.75m to the left of the indicated line. Inquiries with dealer result in ... "hey, it's just a guideline. Cannot be fixed".
If it is going to be there, it could at least be accurate.
I am contemplating seeing if I put a shim in there to adjust the camera L-R position and improve the accuracy.
Comments anyone?

Just finished reading about 5he reversing camera.. it pointed out that there are inaccuracies with the view particularly where there camera is facing a slope up or down which will make objects appear closer or further away.. not much mentioned about the centre line but 750mm seems to be a long way out... reckon the camera has had a nudge
