Remote Control key problem

I just got my 150 GXL last march and already got a problem with the remote control key, I cant open the front doors using the sensors on the handle doors and its making a buzzing noise everytime i touch the sensors on the handle doors..i can only unlock and lock the doors by pressing the button on the remote keys..did i run out of batterylife already from my remote?Any advice guys..before i make a phonecalls from the toyota dealer.

mine makes a buzzing noise and won't close.... then i realise the wife's handbag is in there with the spare key!!

That makes sense..my ignoramus lol my wife is with me yesterday sitting on the frontseat with the sparekeys inside her handbag...cheers mate

I have had the same problem with them being left in the glove box, The spare key that is, not the wife, :lol: :lol: although she is rather short..... :shock: :shock:
All returned to normal once they where removed. Another pointer is dont have the key in your pocket when you are washing the car or the doors lock and unlock everytime they get wet or touched. :roll:

an interesting problem we had when we got tyres changed over, got in the car and put foot on brake, start light went green so THOUGHT remote was in console (normal for them to place keys) so i didnt chk and drove off, as i went around round about something slid across where the windscreen wipers are.....yep you guessed it it was the remote, luckily was only going slow and the remote caught on one wiper lol so now always chk where remote is

That happened to me at 1000 service.
Its so easy to forget that you dont need to use the key so you jump in, push the brake, push the button and off you go.
The keys were on the bonnet next to the wipers.
If keys are further away the yellow light comes on in the dash console.
Quite right about washing the car.
Lost key cost $400 I believe.
