Prado GX Interior Upgrade with Kakadu Parts

Hi all,

Recently bought a 2010 Prado GX Manual, the interior is a bit rough and I was thinking about replacing parts with a wrecker 2010 kakadu I have found.

Here are the parts I want to replace with the Kakadu parts

-Front and Rear Seats ( Will kakadu seats fit and work? as they are electric. and also the rear seats appear to be a little different)
-Entire Centre Console
-Centre Dash including the Headunit and Climate controls ( Will they plug in and work? )
-Headlights
-Door Trim panels and speakers

Any other parts that are worth replacing that will fit the gx?

Likely no no no and no. A lot of stuffing around will be needed.

Headlights are totally different to GX and will need ballasts and the levelling setup and wiring from rear diff.
Climate likely no plugs to plug into, and will need all the stepper motors and ducting etc. BCM changes and stuff too.
Headunit as above.
Door trims likely will fit but may also need additional wiring to suit.
Seats may fit but again wiring for power options likely not in GX. Airbags are another issue.

Likely easier to replace the rough bits with genuine GX bits from amayama or partsouq.

Surprisingly all parts are interchangeable
I have retrofitted grande seats into a gxl the wiring was there.
Toyota use one wiring loom for all so you can put in the trip computer or other accessories if you can find them.
I wouldn’t try doing climate control though this relies on other sensors to work.
(the 03/04 wiring loom was different due to the 4 speed)

The Kakadu seats/trims will work (the gx has side airbags in the seats too?) if not just leave the plug empty.
Ive actually seen a 150 gx and gxl with Kakadu seats so it can be done ✅

Its allot of stuffing around though the only thing I’d bother with is a trip computer (120 series) or leather seats / door trims
