  • L4 and TRC off

    Hi,
I took my 150 off road for the first time this weekend. Had some friends around in their 120s and 80s, so had to try it out around our woods.

Simply awesome, got some tractor tyres buried to twist them up and it just walked them, lifted a front wheel of course ,but wow. It hasnt got the full off road package with rear locker, and it worked a treat, and the climbs, on road tyres were brilliant. Certainly made friends take note of the improvements over the 120.

However, does the traction control(TRC) automatically turn off, when going into L4. When I first put it in L4, I manually turned it off,and now it wont go back on, in L4. I might have pressed the button as it turned off anyway. Just need to know AOK.

    Thanks,

    Tony.

    Re: L4 and TRC off

Traction control stays on in L4, Stability Control is disabled by default. If you come to a complete stop (in L4) and press and hold the TC button for 10 seconds it will disable(ish) the TC. However you will find even with TC off, the TC will still kick in from time to time

        Re: L4 and TRC off

        Hi Tony,

The symbol with the "skid tracks with OFF under it" is your VSC not TC. This light will come on in L4 (vehicle stability control disabled). Your Traction Control will still be activated. If you press the button with the skid tracks and hold for a few secs, the Traction Control will disable. "TRC OFF" will appear on the dash. If you push the button again, TRC will enable.

          Thanks Louie,
So all is ok. Just hoping no fault. It worked brilliantly. Not used to mod cons, got an 80 with lockers for most off road use. Just had to try 150 though.
          Cheers,
          Tony.
