Can Bus Conundrum

Hi everyone, sorry if this is captured elsewhere but I couldn't find any threads. I have a 2018 GXL Prado and I am installing a Red Arc Tow Pro elite v3, UHF Radio and an Anderson plug for our camper trailer. Not having any experience with Can Bus Systems, I am in need of assistance on the following points:
Which wire do I need to splice into (at the tail light) to wire in the diode for my Tow Pro Elite?
Does the installation of an Anderson plug and UHF (Direct from the crank Battery) impact on the vehicles Can Bus system?

I am also setting up a Dual Battery System early next year and would be grateful to be pointed to existing Topics on battery types, isolators, etc.

you dont need to touch any of the canbus or the tail lights in any way - as per the supplied instructions connect the new brake controller to the trailer wiring harness only.

As above trailer wiring harness has all the cables to install to.. Did you buy the trailer plug harness? it should have been done same time as trailer tow pack fitted. Are you also using the TPWKIT wiring kit from Redarc? If so no diode needed.. https://www.redarc.com.au/how-to-fit...h-spec-vehicle

"Are you also using the TPWKIT wiring kit from Redarc?" Not using the TPWKIT, although now thinking I shouldn't have been so cheap.

ok i see now - Redarc reccommend a diode just in case any malfunctions with the brake controller backfeed power to the car' brake system affecting brake systems like ABS , etc. In the Prados case if you connect the towpro stop signal to the trailer plug as i mentioned above its isolated from the cars brake system via the trailer control module anyway. You can add a diode if you like but its not required.
