  • Just took the plunge on new GXL D4D - yippee

    Hi all,

what a great site. Have been keeping a close watch on this site for some time and finally (after years trying to convince the financial controller) have just ordered a new D4D. Pick up in a couple of weeks. Cant wait!
Have it booked in for a couple of extras at ARB too (Bull bar / CB).

We're looking for a couple of nice day trips initially to get the feel. We're based in the Blue Mountains and was thinking out the back of Kanangra (Cowmung / Tuglow Caves etc) might be the go. Any other suggestions

      Hi guys,
Just did the same and after years of consideration finally got the "treasurer" of the family to agree to invest in a proper 4WD. So in mid Sept10 will be picking up my new Prado 150 GXL 3.0Lt Auto Turbo Diesel.

As I am a complete novice (yes I have a Honda CRV but that isn't a proper 4WD) would appreciate your advice.

Like you, am looking to put some accessories on:
      *Deluxe Bull bar
      *Tow Bar
      *Snorkel
      *Dual Battery
      *Undercarriage protection

Is there any difference between ARB & TJM?

      Cheers

Congrats fellas, you'll spend many hours on great tracks with a great vehicle, and many more working out how you can get the money to make it an even better vehicle
