Hi All,
When I've got Bluetooth set as the audio source and I speak to Siri, the head unit will tell the phone to play regardless if something was playing before the Siri command or not.
This is really frustrating because I might be playing a Pod cast, and I ask Siri to play music or change the podcast which she starts, and then gets interrupted it reverts back playing the original podcast. The phone handsfree stops the bluetooth music audio, allowing Siri to respond, and then the headunit will then resume the podcast. .
It used to work where the command you gave Siri stuck, but this changed about a year ago. I'm not sure if it was an upgrade to the firmware on the head unit or to IOS that caused it.
I suspect it's the head unit causing the problems. A similar issue is when I start the car and the audio source is set to Bluetooth, the head unit will tell the phone to play regardless of if the phone was playing or not.
This is really frustrating given the new laws that have come into place regarding the use of phones in the car. I would like to just use Siri so that I don't need to touch my phone whilst I'm driving.
Cheers,
Simon.
