Is the 150 series Steering by Wire.

To me, my newer 150 series Prado has tendency to get a vagueness in the feel of its steering while travelling straight at highway speeds. It's ok if some steering wheel movement is involved, but just goes vague during some straight line driving. My previous series 90 had more road feel, however the new vehicle has much improved general ride and handling.
Does the 150 series have mechanical steering or electrical steering?

Same design as your 90, rack and pinion with hydraulic assist.
If your wheel alignment is good, might be tyres or pressure.
Some tyres are more prone to tram lining than others.
If you're getting the alignment checked, tell them you want MAX caster, not standard Prado specs.
Shops will set her up by the book, but if you want her to steer predictably go for the most caster possible.
