  • EGT Torque Pro PID for 2012 150 Prado

Has anyone with Torque Pro found a PID for the Exxhausr Gas Temperature?
You can as I understand, get Scan Gauge to indicate the Exhaust gas temp so Torque should be able to deliver the same.
There is plenty of info about auto trans and convertor temps in the various posts.
Have spent some time searching the range of Toyota based web sites and other makes without luck. G.Johnno

Does the 1KD engine have an Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor? I had a look at the 1KD engine's electrical circuit diagram and can't see one. It has temperature sensors for coolant, air intake and fuel but not exhaust that I can see.

The 1GD reports exhaust temperatures via PID 0178 (Industry standard PID) and also on 2105 but that is a very different engine with a (very) different ECU.

The TorquePro app automatically listed some EGT information when I installed with my vehicle which is 2019 with a 1GD motor. From memory, there were maybe two or three points of EGT information.

I selected the one named EGTB1S1, assuming that was the first one in the exhaust. The output readings seem consistent with how the car is operating under load eg highish around 480-490C when towing a van under load and lower temperatures for normal running.

This probably does not answer your question though.

I had a 2012 150 Prado Altitude with 1KD motor. There was no EGT sensor on that engine. The EGT sensors were added when the DPF was fitted to the engine I believe.

        Cheers
