  • Stop start technology

Toyota Europe Newsroom says that the uprated diesel engine will feature stop start technology:

I have not seen this mentioned in the new Hilux or new Fortuner specifications. Anyone know if this stop start feature will make it to Australia?

EDIT: I think this is a picture of the upgraded engine - the engine cover appears to be shortened considerably, exposing some kind of an intercooler on top of the engine.

    hope not

it will need a $1200 battery

they Spazda next door to us had a $600 battery to enable this BS

it would want to save a lot of fuel coz the battery cost and environmental impact is the elephant in the room

The "Black Pack" is nothing new, my Prado GX came with that as standard in 2017!
