    Hi,

    I have the mid range 150 here in the uk. Just wondering if after market suspension is worth doing,and if so which route is best to go down? Have been over some pretty tough axle twisters so far, and it works well for standard. I would like to fit larger tyres though, but she is limited as she is on 18" rims. Should i just go to 17" rims, and if so will 33's fit under without a lift?

    Anyone guide me in the right direction. I am awaiting a reply from arctic trucks for their price to go 33, and include it in a trip up north.Think it will be too pricey though!!

    Any advice welcome.

    had an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.

      Thanks, didnt notice separate suspension threads.

      It wont be carrying heavy loads, cant have major bar work in the uk, , but we use it off road a lot,so would be good to get it off road tyres.

        Hi,
        Just got a price from Arctic trucks to do the 33" conversion.

        They keep the original suspension, but have manufactured their own 20mm spacer,which they fit. The whole package,fitted is £2600, about $4100, plus driving to Norway! They will also send it to me. Better option. Cheaper too. Great wheels.

        Has anyone changed to OME or any other make yet?? I like the original suspension feel, though soft, but would like to know how much better after market is?

          Hi Tony

          I have done some hard off roading in our 150 and while it went everywhere easily, I did bend both side steps, dragged the rear guard behind the mudflaps and put some dents in the bash guards. Ultimately I have ordered an OME Nitrocharger Sports 50mm lift with airbags in the rear as well for the touring load. This should just make it a bit more comfortable as I won't be wincing when something hits the deck.

          Also I have Mickey Thompson 265/70/17 4 rib ATZ's which are a bit higher as well, I'll post some pictures when the kit is in next month. Cost for the OME and airbags fitted here in Brissie is $2100.00 Aussie dollars.

            Hi Richo,

            Think i will get a quote for an OME upgrade too. With KDSS etc, does anything have to be readjusted when changing the suspension?

              Mine is a GXL that doesn't have KDSS, I am putting aftermarket airbags in the rear coils.
