Had it on my old prado for years with no adverse results. Cleaned off pretty well with metho. I’ve used it on the new one but haven’t peeled it off yet.

Ive never used the velcro on any dash mat for our cars. If it does slide around, try a trick a motor trimmer mate of mine showed me years ago and use a few small dressmaking pins pushed through mat into the dash. Never see them.

No it won't. Best way from my experience (I always install dash mats to all my cars) to get off any residual gunk is 'Goo Gone'. It's from the states but you can buy online such as eBay. This works fantastic!
