What size tires is everyone using. I need to get a new set for mine but not sure if i should stay with 265/65r17 or change to 265/70r17. Will I be noticing any different in performance on my prado.

265/70r17 nitto MT
Slightly heavier in handling as there is more unsprung weight and a bigger side wall.
Slightly less responsive on throttle due to 30% heavier tyre.
Noisy but not bad.
Heavy sidewalls like on Toyo and nitto muddies do make handling a bit like wallowing but it’s a 4x4 not a track car.
Offroad… bigger is generally better but does 20mm make that much difference??? I’m not sure but I went the biggest legal just cause I could.

Answer really depends on how you use your Prado, general beach and light offroad use not a lot to be gained by going to a bigger tyre size.
More important is tyre construction & pattern, that is LT or standard highway carcass with a AT or MT tread.
If doing outback touring a LT extra load tyre would be the choice to handle the road surface with minimal damage. If doing serious offroad tracks and mud then an aggressive MT up a size would be worth looking at.
