    HI,
Has anybody mounted an ARB compressor anywhere on the new 150 Prado? If so where did you mount it?

    Re: Compressor

Have mine fitted in the engine bay behind the air filter towards the brakes master cylinder.

When it was first installed it rubbed against the air filter and prevented the air filter from being opened so I made my own bracket and used the 2 treaded posts on the inner gaurd to mount the bracket. The air connection is on top and has plenty of crearance .
Looks great and fits in nice and cosy.

I have mine mounted on the drivers side at the front, where it looks like you might be able to fit a second battery if it wasn't for the power steering reservoir being there.

      I'll take a photo...

Aren't you going to do dual batteries at any stage?

I've decided on a portable compressor this time so I can easily use it on the camper and take it to the next car.

Eventually. There's another spot that may fit a battery (passenger side, rear).

The spot where I've put the compressor is quite small, and would require moving that reservoir in order to fit a tiny battery in there. It'll be a bit of a way off before I look at a dual battery system anyway.

                Compressor

No probs. FYI, I have Derek's tray and managed to fit a 60ah battery in there which is big enough for us as we tow a camper 90% of the time. The power steering reservoir mod is very neat using Derek's instructions too. I have the petrol too.

                    Hi Wato,

I got mine mounted in the cab under the passenger seat - the compressor has had heaps of use now and it worked out to be a very functional spot to put it. I have some pics in a previous post... viewtopic.php?f=49&t=7875#p119366
