I have a genuine Toyota Bull bar on my 2019 Prado 150 and it has a CB aerial mounting bracket in the passenger and drivers side. After mounting my CB aerial on the passenger side of the bar I noticed it is not vertical meaning both brackets in the bar slope inwards towards the centre of the vehicle only about 3-4 degrees. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it. I’m thinking of getting a firm to mill a metal wedge to go under the aerial to make it perfectly vertical. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Toyota Bull Bar Aerial Mount

I have a Kaon bonnet bracket for my CB aerial and it is brilliant. Check out their Website.
I have just swapped over my 2013 Prado (had a bullbar mounted CB aerial) to a new 2022 Prado. This time I am not putting on a Bullbar. I still want my CB, so I recently installed the bracket which is located near the windscreen on the left side (see Website)
The wife is happy as no aerial in the way as much and it doesn't vibrate which is an aerial killer.
Only negative is you can't lift up the windscreen wiper to the full 'stand up' position. If you unscrewed the aerial I assume you could, but it is not an issue for me.
If I was too put on a bullbar I would still go the bracket. Had some compliments on it too.
Worth a thought.
