    I did a Mistake - 150 hits a ditch. Now I would love to get a Damage assessment from you.

    First: I wasn't that fast. I have skiny tires, the ditches were very wet and I drove above the last stone edge of the street. That was the point that throw me in the ditch. On the road I was at 60 KPH, I brakes so the speed in the ditch must be lower

    I tried to drive out of the ditch, but for that the ditch was to wet. Very Very wet! - I managed to get crossed some meters at the ditch till the front tire got to much side load and got of the wheel. Thats the point where I needed a two truck.


    So whats broken? The not driver Side fender or in your country the driver side fender is bendt. Thats where the snorkels is, but the snorkels looks okay. I think its reusable. The front bumper need need or plastic welded or will be complete replaced because of the rules of the Insurance If we haven't a stricken politic, I would buy a n ARB oder TJM Front bumper. But there is no way to drive its legaly.

    The non driver side, or in Australien Standarts the drive side suspension got in hit and is now bent in the direction if the doof. Could be just the adjustment screews .. could be bent. I men we talk about max. 60km/h wen i notice some whent wrong, when start braking a good way down and than the ditch good me. Inside I didnt feel much about it. So I was shoked to to se the broken fender,

    So the fender need to repair, we dont need to talk about.

    The suspention normally looks pretty good and the tire is just slidly backwards to the door moved. Maybe the eccentrics bolt need a new adjustment? Dont know. I rund 235/80 R17 on Stock wheels - where anr't much room beside tire and metal.


    Whats would be most important: The Fram needs to bee straight. Otherwise they get trown away and you need a need a new one what the coast would get up. The coast of repairment need to be under the price of a new prado. Becauses Prado are expensive in Europe my chances for repairment are really good (I hope) if the fram is not bent. A ben frame is a dead car. Always!

    What I try to say: Have anybody did a same experience and could tell me about there damages? I would be very sad to loos my car so maybe some story (with happy and prfared) would help.


    I got some Fotos for you. Maybee you can get some comments if you experience similar. I didnt was that fast. I get with my frontier in the wet ground and that puled me in the ditch. I really dont hope the frame is bent but because everything is so soft, I cant image a banded frame.

    The wheel moving back most likely is damage to the lower control arm and the lower control arm mount. The lower control arm can be replaced. The frame mount can be repaired, provided that the damage is not to severe. I hit a kangaroo at 100km/h which moved my wheel back 25mm and this could be repaired. A crash repairer will be able to confirm.

    Your photos do not show details at the wheel and control arms which is what really matters, the rest is all superficial.
