  • Overheating smell

I need some advice on my diesel 150 engine. I get the smell of overheating from the engine and it feels a lot hotter than normal although the temp gauge shows normal temp. The coolant is at correct level and no leaks detected and I don't see any back pressure in the coolant tank. I thought that it could be the water pump that is failing and someone also mentioned that it could be the thermostat that is faulty. any advice would be appreciated, Thanks

If you have a scan gauge you can see the temp in Degrees.

Oil (or something else) on the exhaust pipe?

        Intermittent or always?
If Intermittent, its most likely doing a dpf burn.
Always, get it inspected and scanned for actual temp as the gauge lies.
