    Hi everyone,

My Kakadu (2016) just went over 200,000 on the clock. I love the car, and there is nothing g wrong with it. I wonder though, when should I start thinking about getting a new one.

Also, is there something specific I should ask my mechanic to check?

Don't worry about the KM, just look after it and it will go on. I have a 2018 1GD 2.8 and it has 423,000KM and runs like new. Original everything including injectors on the engine. It is very well maintained with Toyota parts and I change the oil/filter every 7,000km. The only major items I have replaced were lower control arms and inner steering rack ball joints at 350,000KM.
Replace the coolant with only Toyota pink long life to protect internals and water pump, and clean the Mass air flow MAF sensor using isopropyl alcohol spray (90% plus) every year to prevent over-fueling of the engine.
If your car is a manual then only use 75W gear oil in main gearbox, never 75-85W.
Change the fuel filter every 50K (even thou there is no specific change recommendation) as injectors like clean fuel.
    Use Genuine parts.

    enjoy!
