Update: I just received a call from the dealership saying the parts will not be made widely available until the end of April.

Got a call from Toyota and they advised that they have put my name on a list at my dealer and will get a call as soon as the mud flaps become available the lady indicated it will be late next month early may

I got my call today, vehicle is booked in next Tuesday for the fitting, I asked is this for all vehicle and answer was no, only if you logged a issue previous.

Yep mine too, I logged a complaint last Nov at the dealership here in Townsville. Dealership rang me today saying that since my vehicle was booked in next Tues for a service they would fit the new mudflaps while it was there.

Goes to show, if enough people point out the problem & let them know that they are not happy you get a result, eventually!

Just sent an email to my dealer contact re booking in for replacement mudflaps as I made an official complaint to Toyota on their advice and received a reply from Toyota.

So we''ll see if they are on the job.

Mike Carney told me they didn't have any until the end of April? I'll be calling them tomorrow if thats the case.

I have this as the latest information from a very reliabe source.

There are only about 100 sets of longer mudflaps in WA currently & most of them have been put aside for the mining companies.

Toyota will do a warranty claim for all client’s unhappy with their current mudflaps but this program has not been released in WA as yet due to the short supply of mudflaps. Toyota expects this program to be up & running in May.

Some Toyota dealerships are in the dark on many Prado issues. Push (a lot) harder.

Trust me, Toyota Australia know all about this. Your dealer is being lazy and unhelpful.
