Re: A win for the Prado

I know a win is a win but the Prado did get a rubbishing in the article, more than the others but was still declared the winner.

The lack of engine power and outclassed, mushy suspension etc. Hope fully when they refresh the 150 they can address these type of items and put us even further out front

The Prado has always has a soft suspension, I can't see Toyota changing this anytime soon. It's not a performance vehicle and I prefer a softer suspension in the bush.

For the sort of country they were doing, it's probably not unreasonable. They would have been going pretty hard too.

Funny how they bag the Prado in the main article than give it the win in the summary. That's going to raise howls on other forums.

I'd have to say having driven a Disco 3 SE, I'd have one in a moment if they had comparable support network and fuel capacity. I think the reliability issues of old are pretty much sorted.
                Cheers, Wayne

4000km outback trip with a bunch of muttering rotters?

Doesn't look to be too far out of the ball park. Sure, a careful owner would probably do better.
