  • Front Seat Air Bag Sensor

I was down at the local dealer here today and asked the question about removing the front seats with the air bag sensor, as I need to fix up the seat covers. I asked if they would go off if I just unpluged them and pulled the seat out. I was then told you have to disconnect the battery then leave it at least 10 mins because it has a backup charge and then disconnect the plug and remove the seat. But however when you put them back in he told me you have to recalibrate all the passenger windows by using the individual switch on each window you had to open the window and hold the switch for 10 seconds then put it alll the way up and hold for 10 seconds for each window then it should be fine.

Has anyone else been told the same or any different about this situation???

What he has told you is correct, especially the part about the windows.
