Awesome video mate, thanks for sharing. I reckon the "mit-chew-bish-ie" would have made it up if he had followed through a little further.... or not! lol

Re: A quick vid of my Prado and a mates Pajero on the weekend in
He copped it all weekend because he had pretty much made it but nearly stalled and lost power...lol friendly rivalry. My Prado was faultless on the trip and on some VERY soft beaches just carved them up with ease..Originally posted by WilliamAwesome video mate, thanks for sharing. Great video!
Here's a couple of mine going through the Coffin Bay National Park in SA. The drive along 7 Mile Beach was very soft and deep which the video doesn't really show. Great fun and my first crack on sand in the new Prado. Never looked like getting stuck.

Nice vids Sam.
I was just wondering, aside from being prepared in terms of recovery gear. What other measures of safety do you take while on sand dunes (and perhaps out of a mobile tower range). EPIRB? Sat phone? Letting someone know when you'll be back? It would really suck to be bogged down in the dunes with limited supplies.

Re: A quick vid of my Prado and a mates Pajero on the weekend in
Go with someone always helps...let someone know where you are going and yes have the right recovery gear.It all depends on how deep bush or sand your going and how life threatening it could become if you are stuck.Originally posted by WilliamNice vids Sam.

Yeah, a 2nd vehicle is the best option. We bought MaxTrax before we left and despite heaps if beach and sand driving we never needed them. Coffin Bay NP is pretty popular no there was always help nearby if needed.150 GXL V6 Auto. Re: A quick vid of my Prado and a mates Pajero on the weekend in
I used the factory tie down points they appear very strong. Although they maybe not the correct recovery points as a posed to after market ones the Paj only needed a light tug..Originally posted by A10Kakadaz,
