  • 150 series genuine alloy bullbar

    Hi
I have recently purchased a 2011 150 series gxl prado diesel auto it will be delivered in january and i was thinking of putting on the toyota genuine bullbar. But there is not much information on the net can anyone who has one tell me what they think of them? I really like the look of them but are worried they are only designed to look good and would be no good if i hit anything?

I agree with you that the Toyota bar on the 120 is a corker (in looks) but my own opinion is that the 150 series bar is as ugly a front end addition as i've ever seen. Different strokes for different folks i guess. In terms of benefits (lighter, factory warranty, no need for different suspension) and negatives (look?, strength, no winch compatability and cost). Depends largely on what you're planning on using the vehicle for. There is plenty of info and good opinion within the forum...the search function is very good. Congrats on the new D4D GXL Auto. I'm picking my newby up on 29th October.

Your post should be in the Accessories (150 Series) section.

If you browse in there, you will find a heap of posts on bullbars - probably more because of how ugly the factory bullbar is. Anyway, there is an existing topic on the factory bullbar --> 3K Bling - Factory alloy bar

The TJM type 13 steel bar seems to be popular.
