Installing a Steinbauer Performance Chip

Hi fellas

I am planning to instal a Steinbauer Tuning Module or better known as a diesel performance chip. I was shown readouts with up to 20% increasein power and tourqe, which I could use as I am towing an off road caravan. Any ideas

Yes you would gain an increase in power and it would be helpful towing. Whether its a good thing for your engine and/or warranty is probably the bigger question.

I am a diesel mechanic and still dont know whether I would recommend them or not.

If you have a few idle hours you could search the net and read about the pros and cons of performance chips. There are an abundance of 'experts' out there whose only knowledge comes from what other 'experts' have to say about them. I doubt many of them really know what they hell they are talking about
