Disabling the remote lock unlock beeps

Does anyone know how I disable the beeps that occur when I lock and unlock my 150 GXL via the remote. Dont wanna annoy the neighbors too much when I leave for work each morning.

Your neighbours must have super hearing :shock:

Look on page 613 of the owners manual. Apparently it can be disabled without taking it to the service dept. But, with the GXL it seems there is no "ENTER" switch, so perhaps you might have to take it to your dealer...

Had read about that enter button and was disappointed at the realisation that a lot of these customisations can only be performed on the high end models. Its a pity the manual doesnt explicitly identify the models each function applies to.

Was hoping someone might have a "magic" set of button presses that would achieve the desired result.

Will ask the dealer what they do when I take it back for the 1000k service.

Yeah I was hoping someone would reply with some genius method on how to access these options without the Enter button. Anyway, I'm confident that the dealer will be able to change the options outlined in the manual. I think they hook the car up to a device to change the settings?

Just take it into the dealer and they should be able to disable the lock / unlock external beep. If you really want them to do it, I believe that you can also get them to disable the hazard lights flash too when locking or unlocking the doors.
