BFG tyres

i've got some BFG tyres on my 120 series Prado and will be picking up my new 150 series in January. I only put the BFG tyres on a couple of months ago and what was wondering what your thoughts would be if I changed them to the new Prado. I'll buff them up and everything or do you reckon it will look stupid and I should stick to the originals until I can afford the new ones

Are they the same size tyres? If so I don't see why you wouldn't.

If u r getting a GXL with the same size tyres as a 120 I reckon absolutely go for it, as the grandtreks won't last as long as even slightly worn BFG, bit of tyre black they will be like new.

I have two sets of rims, one set of BFG ATs and the Dunlops. I am running the Dunlops for around town work to get some extra life out of the BFGs and the Prado looks silly with the Dunlops on.

The Prado 150 has 18 inch rims, the Prado 120 has 17 inch rims.

I have a need to upgrade my Grandtreks to an AT tyre (BFG's or Coopers not found to be available), does any one know if an 18 inch ATs exist . Or do I have to get 17 inch rims to make it work, assuming that 17 inch rims will fit?

Firstly not all 150's have 18's, the GX and GXL have 17's, you can fit 17's to a VX or Kakadu as a few have done this already. In 18's tyre size u can get Cooper atr or the Yokohama GO12. Both of these r all terrain tyres. I suggest u have a good read of the 150 tyre section as their is plenty of info in there.

My tyres swapped straight over and the cover even fitted on the back. Don't know why but it looks like it is a bit higher

No its the GXL
Last of the accessories are going on this week so she should be already to go when I get home next week
