I have just purchased a vx pardo and the seats rattle over bumps unless a person is sitting on them. They rattle over the slightest bump, is anyone with a vx model experiencing the same problem.

Very annoying, happens all the time in mine.2010 VX, D4D, Crystal Pearl, Rhino sportz racks, Sandgrabbas, Bonnet and Headlight Protectors, and a pretty stainless scuff plate on the rear bumper!!! -

Yes!!! This is the single most annoying thing about my prado. Middle row on the passenger side is the culprit for me. Be interested to see if there's any solutions out there150 VX diesel. If you have drawers or a cargo barrier, reclining the second row to sit hard against it stops it from rattling.Comment

Yes - VX Petrol, noticed - mainly split rear passenger side, reclining section can be actually seen wobbling.Comment

I am encountering the same irritation with my VX Prado 150 . Pity Toyota puts a vehicle of this calibre on the market without testing it beforehand .
My one's rear suspension seems to ride most of the time on the rubber bump stops without load . Seems to me suspension is not up to standard for the job , very demanding on ones body when you are off roading . Any suggestions , please ?. According to Toyota it is fine .

My Kakadu does it a lot. Too much. I can see the left side second row seat shaking (in the rear vision mirror). This is the seat that tilts for third row seat entry.
My solution will be to put our pretty Chinese (student) boarder's bum on that seat as often as I can and have some eye candy in my panoramic passenger conversation mirror as I drive.

I had a rattle/noise coming from the rear of my 150 vx as well. At first I thought it was the rear seats, but I found that the sliding protector (which is used to protect the rear door from slamming when open) was the culprit. I removed it completely( very easy, just 2 clips) and that solved the problem of the rattle.Comment

MY VX does the same thing. It seems to be the RH rear seat that has the centre fold down section it it. When the car is parked you can reproduce the noise by hitting it with your hand. Actually seems to be worse over smaller bumps than the bigger ones. Mentioned it at the last service but they spent most of the time fixing my 1500rpm dash vibration and didn't get to it. We'll see what happens at the 20K service.Comment

I have the same problem with my VX 150. Have asked my dealer to look at it the last two services but they won't touch it until they get an official fix from Toyota. They did mention that they have had lots of complaints. My solution is to drop the rear passenger side seat down permanently. It doesn't rattle when someone is sitting in it so we can put it up if we have extra passengers.Comment

I know its not a fix but it helps. When no one is sitting in the rear seats put the headrests down. I believe it is the left rear seat that is the problem. It is ok when someone is sitting in it. Noticed is was noisier than usual with the head rest up, I put it down and a lot better, not perfect but better. As I said not a fix but makes it 'less' annoying.2016 200 VX TTD Pearl WhiteComment
