  • Hello from New 150 SX Owner

Just wanted to say hi as I am new to this forum, although not to 4wd's.
I brought an Aug 10 build Graphite SX yesterday with mats for $52,000 on-road which I thought was a good deal - not sure there is a great demand for the 3 door in Sydney.
We also have an early 08 build Pajero NS 3 door which has been great fun but the noise and vibration got too much for wife (and me) in the end.
The 150 is so much more refined in every area there is really no comparison to the Paj(although not tested traction control yet which is a real strength of the Paj).
In fact it looks like I am not the only Paj owner to have swapped over - I recognise a number of user names from the Pajero Club forum here as well.
Anyway, first things first - I'm swapping the Grandtreks to Bridgestone D694LT's today which I think are exceptional all-round tyres (I've had the passenger version on the Paj for 30,000km including lots of wet onroad, sand, gravel and hard offroad such as Vic high country and they have never missed a beat and still look almost brand new whilst the Mickey Thompson 4 Rib ATZ's on my LC 200 have chunks out everywhere doing pretty much the same thing!)
Main reason for tyre change is safety and handing particularly in the wet.($685 changeover for 5 tyres, fitted and balanced)
My wife will primarily drive the 150 as I have an LC200 GXL (with lots of mods!) and we often take 2 cars offroad and camping as we have 2 big Ridgeback dogs and my wife loves 4wding. So I am looking forward to carrying out the mods to the 150 which, after the tyres, will probably be ,at least initially - Longrange fuel/water tank, proper bash plates(maybe Bush Skinz if Keiron makes them for the Prado), Scangauge II, Icom Pro UHF, Rhino platform, Milford cargo barrier and Toyo or HR tow hitch.
    Anyway, getting ahead of myself...
Looking forward to learning from and where possible contributing to what appears to be a great forum.
    Cheers
