You are about right with that. Chainsaw has turned into a dirty work here . Not happy about it.

Always good to have one sneaking about in the back of the bus though.

Aren't you concerned about damage to the saw from bouncing it on the junction between blade and saw? It's a neat idea though.

The saw does not bounce up and down as such but does pivot side to side a little.

I have cut a piece of conveyor rubber to sit on the top plate for the saw to rest on and once the clamp is completed the saw will have no movement at all.
