Pump, faucet and hose was around $50.

Tank guage and sender was from ebay.

Awesome work Tin. I've been contemplating putting something there for a long time but nothing this polished. If you are looking to go into a production run, I'd be pretty keen. Same setup as you, 150 with factory towbar.

I am looking to do a small run of tanks. Probably 5 tanks depending on demand.

I will allow for a clear tube on the side as a level meter to save cost of having to spend another $100 for sender and display.

I can include the hole for sender if requested. They will be 1.6mm 304 stainless and will only fit vehicles with factory towbar.

Any other requests before I get quotes?

Hey Tin, Is there any way to gravity fill it, for instance if you're out on the tracks and want to top it up from a creek without mains pressure? I suppose a hose that screwed on long enough to get the funnel above the tank should fill it but I was wondering if you'd considered a hole in the top to fill it instead? Now I mention it I'm not sure how you'd get to it though. Or perhaps a reversible pump to suck it in through the tap. Anyway, food for thought but definitely not a deal breaker, I'd be happy to take it as is. I'm definitely keen for one as early as possible. It'd be good to have it fitted before we head off for the GTG in September and then I can show it off to more potential customers for you.

I considered a gravity fill from the top through the little square access panel on the top of the bumper. It was a bit too small and awkward to get a decent inlet and cap other than a rubber bung. I also considered running a dedicated fill point up next to the fuel filler. Would be nice but I wanted to keep it simple.

I carry a length of hose that connects to the lower outlet tap and have a collapsible silicone funnel for filling if I need to.

I will definitely have them done before September.

                Hi Tin,
Im interested in one, I would be just after a basic set up, clear hose level would suit me with just the tap underneath.

                Cheers

                    Hi Tin175
I am interested in a water tank as well. Basic set up as well, clear hose for level and vent pipe fitted. Could I have a 3/4 in fitting for the outlet rather than a 1/2 in fitting.
I will fit a T into this fitting, straight ahead for the outlet tap and up to a caravan inlet fitted into the body.
                    Thanks Ron

Tin, caught up with Tim today, he was very impressed with the reticulated water system Prados come with!

Ok, I have enough interest to do a run of 5 so I will price it up and firm up the orders. I'll put up a thread once I have firm pricing.

Tin would this fit a Wynnum Towbar?

Wynnum towbar tucks in under and behind the bumper. My design won't fit unfortunately.

Got my tank and installed it!

Might need a washer to space out the tap, it's not super tight and I'm a little concerned it might back itself out while travelling.

I'm also going to use either a Lynch pin or R clip to stop the handle from bouncing around on the tap.
