By fold-up, do you mean an inflatable? I'd considered that, but I'm really short of space - no room in the car, no room in the trailer - I need something rigid to go on top of the trailer. I've also had a lot of experience with inflatables, and I've found them to be still relatively bulky, almost as heavy (and difficult to manhandle when deflated) and maintenance intensive. Also, some of the fish I plan to land mean I'm not that confident in a blow-up boat!
But yes, this is becoming an expensive exercise!
    Need to buy:
    Boat
    Outboard
    Winch
    Roof racks
    Manufacture:
    Fulcrum Plate H
    Outboard Mount on Camper Trailer.
But last time I was up north, I watched longingly out to sea as those with boats frolicked with the whales and dolphins and landed some awesome tuna and mackerel!
I just got my fishing line snagged on the rocks!

Actually hold that thought. If the boat is 1260mm wide, then all you will need is an overhang of 5mm each side for the ladder slides.

Then just add eyebolts under the rack and pass the strap through the eye.

Yep, that's what I was going to try first, before committing to the new crossbars - could save some dollars there!
I checked out the ladder slides yesterday at a local shop - they look to be perfect for the task.
I may need to use the 2400mm North/South bars as I need to extend the rack far enough forward also, to ensure the winch line doesn't run on the windscreen/roof and instead tracks on a forward bar - but this will give greater stability to the boat overall for minimal increase in price.
Have emailed Ezystrut for a basic quote on the brackets.
Cheers for pointing me in the right direction - this isn't going to happen in the short term, but hopefully by the end of the year.

If you are overhanging the ladder slides on the 1250mm crossbars, then the North/south bars will have to be mounted from underneath. You can then attach eyebolts to the North/south bars anywhere along its length. Hopefully the side of the boat is smooth to allow a smooth pull. (edit: website says no Sponsons, so all good )

Website also says "beam 1.26m" - I think to myself, better give them a call and check...
"Oh, there's one here, I'll measure it... Oh, actually, it's 1.3m wide*, I'd better update the website!"
I was always going to check, but it means I will need the 1375mm wide bars, at least at the rear. Maybe I can use 2 of the shorter 1250mm ones towards the front, as the boat does taper towards the nose.
*Note - I am confident this doesn't represent poor quality control on behalf of the manufacturer. Elsewhere on the Finn webpage it says 1.3m. Good product, poorly updated website...
