    Re: Milford Cargo Barrier

    Howdy all,

Any news on the Autosafe barrier yet? (pics?). What about a resolution with the Milford? Anyone else installed with succes - ie have they modified their product at all?

Crisp, how long would it take too pull the barrier out and put back in, ie to use the 7 seats.

Just my 2c worth on the Milford barrier.

We have a 2-position barrier in a GXL. It takes us a bit more than 5 mnutes to move (but we are improving each time we do it). Our current method to fit it in the forward position is to:
                          1) fit the bottom extension bars to their rear attachment points,
                          2) screw the top brackets to the top extension bars,
                          3) fit the top extension bars to the their rear attachment points,
                          4) put the barrier in place
                          5) attach the bottom extension bars to the barrier,
                          6) attach the top brackets to the barrier.
                          7) fit the tie-down straps (see below).

We have no problems fitting it in although it is a tight (good?) fit.

                          Tie-Down Straps:
One thing we did notice was when the barrier was fitted in the forward position. The barrier was stable fore/aft but 'wobbled' side-to-side on pot-holed roads. We fixed this with 2 * 50cm cam buckle tie-down straps 'tying' the barrier to the rear grab handles.

                          regards
                          Rrob

Just had my Milford fitted today, no pics as its the same as the orignal pic at the start of the tread but does not touch the roof. Had it supplied and fitted by Vanquip at Mansfield, very professional
