After removing the 3rd row of seats I am wanting to fit a drawer system in the rear of my 2021 Prado 150 GXL. We are retired and want to travel away for longer breaks, so are hoping to fit a large dual fridge/freezer in the rear of the vehicle. If possible, I’ve decided to go with the Kickass 95 litre combination (including fridge slide). I’ve looked at standard drawer systems such as Drifta, R/V etc and can’t find anything that can fit such a large unit into a standard configuration. External measurements of the fridge slider are 945mm x 600mm x 90mm so this will take up more than the standard space behind my 2nd row of seats. As it is only the two of us in the car we can slide the 2nd row of seats forward to make a larger space available in the rear and I believe we will be able to fit the Kickass setup. The space remaining across the width will be fairly narrow for the drawers so I intend going 2 drawers high. Having the 2nd row of seats placed further forward also allows me to fit my dual battery system (AGM or lithium) between the rear of the drawers and the seats. I will have to have the drawer system especially built. Would this work and is there any reason for not choosing this option? Thanks for input.

Have you considered using a drop slide for the fridge? I have a 75L single chamber fridge on top of side by side drawers. The standard slide on the drawers does not bring it far enough out to open the lid. I bought an MSA drop slide that I installed so the fridge pulls out and drops in front of the drawers for easy access. They also do a side-drop slide in multiple sizes. That would allow you to put the fridge across the drawers and still leave the second row seats. Should still be space between fridge and seat backs for battery box (I have an Ark box in mine).
