  • Just ordered my SR5 mud flaps for my 150 (cheap)

With a few pending weekends away planned I thought I would sort the short mud flap issue. I purchased off ebay a set of fronts and rears (SR5) from a Thailand seller for $146 for four delivered..Toyota wanted $554 (insert one finger solute here).I am going to remove the standard rears first and not bolt the Hilux ones over the old ones so will have to trim the bumper plastic section that comes off with the original's ( you know what I mean) I will post up some pictures.

Many Toyota enthusiasts actually import a lot of after market body parts from Thailand. Apparently the quality is decent too! Not sure what you're getting is genuine, but Toyota does have a plant that produces Hiluxes In Thailand. So perhaps there's somebody there trying to make a buck from selling employee discounted gear... Looking forward to those pics. I'm seriously considering getting SR5 flaps too...

I wouldn't be able to pick it out either and I do agree with what you said, $146 is cheap. I just hope they fit alright. You do realise if all goes well, that ebayer is going to get a lot of business from pradopoint lol

I spoke to Peter as well today from ute blokes he was selling them cheap as well. He said he sold about 100 rear pairs and could have done with another 100 pairs after the prado owners caught on to the SR5 Prado fix. He was getting them off hilux well body to ally tray conversions he got from the car yards.

Just had a look, but there were a couple of different types. Any ideas on making sure we get the right ones?
