KJA,
Thanks for the info and very detailed reply.
Infact I tried the head office for ARB in Osbourne park on the 18th and was again told a definate NO but try the Canningvale store. I am off to see them on Tuesday. Not keeping my fingers crossed though.
Why do you have to lose the comfort setting after the lift? Does any one know as this seems to be a common theme, even darren from motorcraft states the same loss???Prado 150 Kakadu, D4D 5-Spd Auto, Silver, Full Window Tint, Hayman-Reese Towbar, Rhino-Bars, GME TX3400 radio, ARB Deluxe Combination Bar, Hella 2000 Driving Lights. The comfort settings are built into the shocks. When you replace the shocks, say goodbye to your comfort settings.Originally posted by Kaka do View PostWhy do you have to lose the comfort setting after the lift? amts,
Thanks. i knew someone would be able to explain it. I thought it had something to do with torsion bars. ;(Prado 150 Kakadu, D4D 5-Spd Auto, Silver, Full Window Tint, Hayman-Reese Towbar, Rhino-Bars, GME TX3400 radio, ARB Deluxe Combination Bar, Hella 2000 Driving Lights. I have not missed the comfort setting. I must admit I didn't change it often - maybe two or three times when I first got the beast but after a while I just left it on standard. However my thoughts are that the new ARB suspension gives a far better ride than previous and the loss of this setting is not a big issue. I didn't use the settings anyway!!!! However i did keep the old suspension bits so that if I became unhappy then I could get it changed back. My thoughts at the moment is no way.

Have now travellede 4000km with the new suspension. Most of that has been towing the 2 tonne caravan. However it has definitely been given a work out. I estimate the lift to be 50 to 60mm. There is definitely a lean on occasions. The lean seems to come and go. Some days it can be as much as 20mm while others it will be dead level. It seems to depend on the circumstances (any slope on the road before you turn off the engine). I have been told by others that I have become too sensitive and there was always a lean anyway but I just notice it now as the truck is now higher off the wheels and it is more noticeable. It really does worry me anymore. Iam told it is a symptom of the KDSS system.
I believe the truck does handle better, more positive on the road. I think the body roll is less. I will try to post some photos if that would help? Of course the main reason for the upgrade was to obtain the lift as I plan to do the kimberly and Cape York next year. Ken,
Thank you for your update. The lift seemed ideal for me too as for the lean coming and going, I think I can lived with.
It is hard to find any information on kakadu model here in Thailand.
Cheers!

Thanks for the pics. Your car looked great. Seemed like the suspension upgrade really held up well to the added weight of the bull bar.
I didn't realised you could added the front left and right under vehicle protection for kakadu model. I remember reading it somewhere that because of KDSS travel range, left and right under vehicle protection is not installable.
Cheers,
