  • OME suspension lift in Perth.

    Hi
I am starting to fit out my car, already have a roof rack,ARB winch bar, and just accquired a winch for a good price ...free :-) when a mates car was totalled :-(. ...

If I put the winch on with standard suspension the nose of the car is going to just about hit the ground, so now considering an upgrade with about a 2" lift.
Local ARB store have a reasonable price on Old Man Emu, but they say the only option for the 150 is the nitrocharger sport - and this is supposed to be a lot firmer ride than standard, or than other OME kits for other cars.

Are their any friendly PPers out there who have an OME lift on their 150, who could comment, or even take me for a spin if you live near Perth to demonstrate the difference from standard.?
SWMBO is not keen on too firm a ride. She likes it as it is, and she hated the feel of my race car years ago for the same reason.

Liquid compensation in the form of amber ale willingly provided for any assistance

    Hi Boris,

You don't say where in Perth you are. If it's any use my 120 has the Nitrocharger sport shocks and I'm very happy with them. If you are in my area I can take you for a spin if you like.

I have just had the OME Nitrochargers fitted today after driving around for the past month with the same ARB deluxe bar and winch fitted. They are definately firm as they are brand new but the ride is great and I think you wont regret it. Its lifted the whole lot up a further 65mm at the rear with standard springs but that will settle down to 50-55mm or so. The front I went with heavier springs and that is up to 62mm and will drop a bit too I guess.
Overall, the benefits offroad will be far better and more capable with the lift put in.
