Has anyone attempted to fit KDSS on a GXL? I'm looking at buying a altitude and would like the option of fitting KDSS. From what I understand the parts are around $2500, if that's the case does anyone have a parts list?

cannot help with the kdss, what tyres are you running, oem?
You can dramatically improve the handling, steering braking, wet weather grip and the whole dynamics by throwing the grand crap tyres in the bin and fitting something which has stronger sidewalls. I reckon the oem tyres are dangerous and traded mine in within two days of buying the car.stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
but had a 2012 and 2010 150 Prado GXL auto diesel in Graphite with Bridgestone D697 A/T. Dobinson C59-300/325 and Bilsteins. Accessories : two baby seats. Sidewinder`s Dual Battery isolator and rear power outlet kit. Pirana Battery tray, Hayman Reese towbar with Toyota wiring kit and Brains`s guard. -

OEM as it was a demo prado we took for a spin in the Adelaide hills, I would be putting new rubber down and lifted springs, KDSS from what I have seen offers a lot more articulation off road and decreased body roll on. The "lean" is a worry tho.
I have sent in a request for a parts list for the KDSS from a VX from Toyota I'll let you know how far I get.[B]2012 - 150 VX[/B]Comment

I don't like your chances of getting it optioned on a GXL as I believe KDSS models have a different chassis

Who knows, maybe if a Kakadu and a GXL are compared side by side there will be little difference and it may work but based on my research I don't think its possible.
