Difference between aftermarket shocks & coils, and aftermarket front struts

I was just checking out the Tough Dog website and they have the option of front struts or separate shocks and springs for the front. What would be the ride difference between the two versions if any?

Toughdog sells them either separately or preassembled. They are the same components. The preassembled units make it easier for you to swap it out yourself without the need for spring compressors.
